Two Postdoctoral Vacancies The Department of Civil Engineering and Energy Technology

Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences (HiOA) is Norway’s largest state University College, with approximately 17000 students and 2000 employees. We conduct research in areas that are important for welfare and value creation, for instance health, education, social sciences, technology and design. HiOA has an academic stimulating environment with a variety of welfare schemes.
Our goal is to become a leading university in the Nordics within the field of applied sciences.
Two Postdoctoral Vacancies
The Department of Civil Engineering and Energy Technology

The Department of Civil Engineering and Energy Technology currently has two postdoctoral vacancies in the field of sustainable buildings and construction.

The Department of Civil Engineering and Energy Technology at the Faculty of Technology, Art and Design is currently developing a master's programme on sustainable buildings and construction. In connection with this, we have vacancies for 2 temporary (each 2 years), full-time postdoctoral positions in sustainable buildings and construction, focusing on at least one of the following subject areas:

building information modelling (BIM) applied in green building processes
structural design and service life
construction methods and climate-adaptive building envelopes
energy use and ventilation in buildings

The Department of Civil Engineering and Energy Technology offers a bachelor's programme in engineering entitled Civil Engineering. It also offers bachelor's and master's programmes entitled Energy and Environment in Buildings.

The Department has two key aims:

Develop a new master's degree programme in sustainable buildings and construction
Further develop its R&D activities

The Faculty has extensive contact with the building industry in the region, and is engaged in R&D activities, both independently and in cooperation with others.

The project description must contain a problem statement and method as well as a progress and publication plan for each part of the research project. Special costs related to the project should be specifically mentioned in the project description. Weight will be given to the quality and relevance of the project description during evaluation. The academic level of the project description must result in academic publication of the project. The number of planned publications during the postdoctoral period must be stated in the project description.
