Post Doc in Computer Network Security for critical systems

Job description
In the context of the project INAETICS (www.inaetics.org) the postdoc will devise approaches to monitor critical network segments onboard naval vessel as Combat Management Systems and radars. This task is particularly challenging because such systems often leverage a mix of open and closed architectures and protocols. Hence, standard network monitoring tools are not really applicable in this context.

Requirements
As an ideal candidate for this position, you
hold (or will finish very soon) a recent PhD in computer network security or a closely related discipline (mandatory);
have a proven research record documented by excellent publications in the field;
have participated in cooperative research projects at national or international level;
have excellent communication skills, mastering both oral and written English fluently;
are able to pursue challenging, interdisciplinary research problems and deliver proof-of-concept results;have strong practical security skills, including C, C++, embedded systems, intrusion, and IT forensics;
and have good management and team leading skills.

Conditions of employment
We offer a contract for one and a half years in a highly stimulating scientific environment with very competitive salary and social security insurances. The monthly salary of a Postdoc in accordance with the collective labour agreement for Dutch universities (CAONU), starting from € 2,919.- gross.
