The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts - School of Engineering and Architecture is the leading education and research institute for architecture, computer science and engineering in central Switzerland. The School of Engineering and Architecture offers distinctive study programs in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Business Engineering. These programs all contribute to the school’s applied research focus on the themes of «;Building as a System» and «Intelligent Solutions for the Energy Turnaround». The School of Engineering and Architecture is one of five schools of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, which in total employs 1,500 individuals and teaches more than 10,000 students.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic professional to join the school to teach and to perform research. The position starts in February 2015.
Lecturer Sustainable Energy Systems (100%)
Your responsibilities

Active engagement in finalizing the build-up of the bachelor study program of Business Engineering Sustainable Energy Systems, as deputy program director
Lecturing undergraduate students of Business Engineering Sustainable Energy Systems, in the field of ecology, various aspects of sustainability, grey and renewable energy and related economics
Coaching students in project work
Acquiring and executing projects from international and multi-national corporations for research and student work

Your profile

Engineering Master’s degree, preferably with a major in any of the following: Ecology, Environmental or Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy or equivalent
An advanced education in Business Administration; Doctorate degree being an asset
Several years of work experience in public or private business sectors, focusing on the economic, environment and/or social aspects of power generation and distribution, energy usage and its applications
Experience in managing complex projects in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment
Proven track record of acquiring, managing, and executing projects
Very good international network combined with business skills and social responsibilities
Knowledge of the Swiss and international energy regulatory environment
Solid English skills; German would be an asset
