Your various tasks and responsibilities
Active search, proposal as well as validation of novel therapeutic principles in the indications diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome
Pre-clinical research studies: development and validation of relevant models (biochemical, cellular, ex-vivo) by using state of the art technologies
Execution of target identification and validation experiments
Provision of scientific expertise to foster collaborations with external partners
Your ideal qualifications
Ph.D. or an equivalent degree in biology, biochemistry or pharmacology with a strong scientific background in cardiometabolic and/or associated diseases
Expertise especially in the fields of metabolic diseases like diabetes, obesity or metabolic syndrome
Broad understanding of physiology for studying functional aspects of therapeutic principles for the disease area/indications
Fluency in written and spoken English
A high degree of independence based on previous post-doc experience would be highly welcome

The position is initially limited to a period of two years.
