Physical Chemistry/ Electrochemistry
The Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung GmbH is dedicated to basic research on structural metallic alloys, steels and energy related materials. We invite applications for PhD and Postdoc-positions in the field of
Physical Chemistry/ Electrochemistry
in the group "Electrocatalysis" in the department Interface Chemistry and Surface Engineering. The research project is focusing on the electrocatalysis of water electrolysis and fuel cells, both are emerging technologies of high potential in a sustainable energy future.
The electrocatalysis group has developed a worldwide unique high-throughput technique with online analytics, which provides novel insights into the fundamentals of reaction kinetics and degradation processes. The work will focus on the systematic structural and electrochemical characterization of electrode materials, determination of mechanism and derivation of improved catalysts.
The requirements include a finished study (MS or PhD) in the area of Chemistry/Physics, ideally with experience in electrochemistry, catalysis, analytics and/or material science.
We are looking for people with excellent cooperation and communication skills, good knowledge of English language is a must.
We offer an international research environment with excellent equipment and motivation for am bitious researchers. Interested candidates should send their CV, picture recent publications and contact data for two references within the next two weeks to:
