The University of Luxembourg invites applications for the following vacancy in the Laboratory for photovoltaics in the frame of a research project funded by the Fonds national de la recherche.
The Laboratory for Photovoltaics develops novel thin film solar cells, which are more cost efficient than con ventional solar cells because they need less material and energy for their production. The successful candidate will lead a project to develop thin film solar cells.

Fixed-term contract 27 months, full-time (40 hrs/week)
Employee status (start date: 01.01.2016)
The postdoc will be a member of the Physics and Material Science research unit within the Faculty of Science, Technology and Communication at the University of Luxembourg. He/she will work under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Siebentritt.
Activities
Lead the project on CU-rich CIGS solar cells
Advise doctoral students
Coevaporation of CIGS absorbers
Opto-electronic characterisation of absorbers and solar cells
Reporting to funding agency
Publications in international journals and conferences
Profile
Doctoral degree in Physics (or equivalent) with excellent grades
Good background in solid state physics, preferably in solar cells, semiconductors
Willing and able to advise students
Self-motivated, committed and curious
Creative and able to think independently
Excellent command of English
