Position as Postdoctoral Research Fellow within iCBT for children and adolescents with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
The period of employment for the position is two years.

Aim of the study /Description of project
New technologies give us an opportunity to enhance traditional office-based CBT and to make it more accessible, user friendly, and cost effective while treating children and adolescents with OCD and other mental health disorders. Internet-based CBT (iCBT) is not a new treatment in itself but rather a new framework for providing treatment that leverages new technologies to provide treatments that are more easily accessible, user friendly, and cost effective. In the treatment of pediatric OCD, such innovative methods could overcome geographical barriers to treatment by extending the availability of expert services and addressing regional workforce shortages in care. Families dwelling in remote regions can participate in real-time treatment conducted by experts, regardless of geographic proximity to such experts.

The goal of the current project is to develop an Internet and smart phone delivered CBT (iCBT) for the treatment of pediatric OCD. This will involve:
A. developmental work on iCBT therapy package (i.e. manual, content, appropriate assessment, and equipment),
B. a pilot study of the feasibility and acceptability of enrolling, retaining, and treating children diagnosed with OCD with iCBT.

This project will be carried out in a close collaboration with our partners from the leading clinical and research institutions in the USA, Germany, Holland, Finland, Sweden and Spain. The candidate will be provided with opportunities to assist in the development of iCBT manual, data analysis, manuscript preparation and grant submissions.
