The Department of Applied Environmental Science (ITM) at Stockholm University is an interdisciplinary department focused on two research themes: contaminant science, and atmospheric science & biogeochemistry. We are a group of ~160 professors, researchers, postdoctoral fellows, doctoral students and technicians working in an open organization thriving on internal collaboration.

To further broaden our research profile and strengthen our research environment, we are recruiting 5 Postdoctoral Research Fellows. We invite young scientists interested in a postdoctoral career development opportunity to submit proposals for a 2 year research project. The project should build on the existing strengths at ITM while introducing new research questions or methods.

Main tasks: The Postdoctoral Research Fellow is expected to conduct research. There will be opportunities to teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Required qualifications: The candidate must have received a PhD degree no more than three years prior to the application deadline, unless there are special circumstances that should be taken into account. These might be illness, parental leave, union duties, or similar.
