The Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at TU Delft is seeking to appoint a Dean.

Since its foundation 110 years ago, the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment has gained a global reputation as one of the most prestigious design schools in the world. One of the largest faculties at TU Delft, the Faculty has a strong international reputation for the quality of its training and education, its unrivalled and innovative research, and the translation of this knowledge and practice into a wide variety of environments. Combining technological aptitude, context and creativity, the Faculty aims to become a stronger international platform for the innovation of design, engineering and processes, and to be a centre for discussion around the current social issues related to its entire professional field.

The Dean will be expected to reinforce the academic profile of the Faculty and to bring a strong affinity with academic research, alongside a proven successful track record as a senior leader and manager. With an active national and international network, the Dean will be a well-regarded figure in design practice, and be able to articulate a compelling educational vision for the Faculty that will also forge beneficial partnerships across the wider University, and beyond.
